I had the Nexus 5 while I loved the phone the cell reception was horrible. I had to get rid of it for the Note 3. I do like the Note line however, I am more fond of the pure Google operating system. Any word if the problems with the Nexus 5 have been fixed?

Since it's made by Motorola, it will have better reception than any other OEM

Sent from my LG G3

They basically invented cell phone radios and are well recognized as being the best in class bar none.

Don't SOCs have a radio on it already like the snapdragon 805 has its own one ?

Radio yes, antenna no. The antenna and the signal strength are the two big determiners of your reception on your phone. This is why sometimes you can set two different phones using the same network next to each other and one will have a better signal than the other, or a signal at all when the other is reporting no signal. Motorola has historically done exceptionally well with its antenna design. Nokia would be the only company who could maybe give Motorola a run for their money. Quite simply, if you've been doing something 30+ years, you have an edge over those who have been doing it for 10 (or less) years.

I had a moto x and when I went to T Mobile I got the Nexus 5. The moto x did well from what I remember but as we all know the Nexus 5 was a nightmare. I love the pure Google OS like many on this forum so thought I would ask the question that plagued the Nexus 5
