Well I have a rooted verizon lg g3 and I was wondering what mods and roms are available for this specific model, I'm curious since ive been searching around and it appears that most popular and common items in root are not yet available for this lg g3. But, I also noticed most of the articles I read and sections I searched were a month or two old so I'm not completely sure if there's anything out there yet. It would help if someone else knew what's current in the model as I am new to the rooting experience.

I just rooted and am kind of looking for the same thing. I installed the xposed framework, and then installed the LG tweaksbox module. It let's you do all kinds of cool stuff

Bootloader is locked on all but t-mobile and international variants so there is not much development going on at this point.

Can anyone post a link to download the .ask file? I have a Verizon LG G3 model VS985. I tried downloading Stump root v1.2.0, but it wouldn't download on my device.

I won't post a link for Xposed Framework but you can easily find it by googling it ;)

What are the benefits to rooting? I just got my G3 so don't know much about it. My only concern would be will it be accepted when using AT&T warranty?

Also anyways to improve battery life with rooting? The screen seems to kill battery at 50% brightness.

I rooted my ATT G3 and I would NOT recommend it. Mine now had a very long delay when pressing home button. Nothing I can do to correct so far. Super pissed.

Not applicable to all, root again does nothing but allow access to the system files. Its what you do after...

Root does not slow your phone down. It only gives you SU access. Its like logging into a computer with Admin accounts vs guest account.

As for rooted phones, if you have no need for Xposed framework/modules for exposed and TiBackup, then there's really no need to root. But TiBackup is my primary reason to root. Freeze apps and full backup with data is a time saver.
