Any way to measure distance in new Google Maps app?

Is there any way to measure distance in the new Google Maps app or use any "Labs" for that matter?

Doesn't look like it. I liked the Labs feature as well--maybe they'll bring it back in a future update. Wouldn't hurt to email Google and let 'em know!
