Any way to quit the internet app?

Each time i exit the internet I notice in my monitor app that its still running in the background and eating CPU. I don't care if the next time I open it, it brings me right where I left off, I'll start from my homepage if I have to, but can I quit the internet?

Each time i exit the internet I notice in my monitor app that its still running in the background and eating CPU. I don't care if the next time I open it, it brings me right where I left off, I'll start from my homepage if I have to, but can I quit the internet?

It never really closes, it is one you have to kill. What I use is Dolphin HD browser. It is my default browser and it has tabled browsing and when you want to leave the app, it closes and you can delete the temp files as well.
