I'm going crazy here. I absolutely detest conversation view but can't seem to turn it off. If I use the stock email app I don't get push email. Can anyone help me on this?

Unfortunately you can't do that. Some people suggest using Gmail from the Chrome app, which gives you pretty much all the options, and is looking good too. But, I agree that this is an option that really needs to be added to the Gmail app.

same here! getting mad! the worth is that these old mails from the conversation are coming back to inbox on gmail.com or on desktop soft like outlook or Apple mail! pleaaaaaase helo!

I gave up and stopped syncing gmail. Instead i created my gmail account in the email app but i need help, how can i delete all of the messages i already have in the gmail app? should i just "remove the account" and create it again without the gmail option?

LISTEN UP, GOOGLE: Conversation view is for children, not for business people. Is this you view of Google?

Its just non confortable
I was no more able to work with
I installed MailDroid on which you can change everything. Very confortable

I agree. Our company has moved to Gmail (fortune 1000 company). You hit the nail on the head. For business people "conversation view" blows. We need an option like on the desk top version of Gmail or I will soon be going back to Iphone which is much more palatable.

I agree
We (adults non teenagers) want to disable the conversation mode on phone
Forums are full of this ask
Why Google doesn't hear us ?
Fortunately i have the samsung email application on my phone !

I think Google is not listening to everybody's request.
I switched over to outlook app for Android. It is much better than gmail app. At least it segregates the conversation view clearly so that one can watch and select it properly.

YES!!! Conversation view is idiotic, confusing and makes it nearly impossible to be able to keep track of a conversation that splits (someone sends you something and your forward it and they respond... in the meantime the original sender responds...) THEN CONFUSION CENTRAL!
