my phone has generally smooth scrolling, great speed (baked snack with fps fix kernel)

but swiping through different widgets, it will always take a second or two to load up the latest info.. like the htc built in player...

or the bookmark (the thumbnail takes a little bit) .. favorites as well.... friendstream is the worst

even the homescreen clock takes a split second to update...

and coming from iphone.. it's a little annoying... is there a way to speed that up?? why can't i just have the thumbnail and favorite stored in internal memory for faster response time??

any way to fix it?

thanks

Because they are not thumbnails or still images. They are live apps, so the delay your seeing is them loading thier information.

Pretty much. The iPhone doesn't have widgets, so if you want to see the information, there is technically a delay as well if you have to open an app and let it load to see information.

It would be an incredible waste of battery to have widgets update graphically in the background constantly when not being viewed. As a result, you get that fraction of a second delay as the app refreshes.

friendstream yeah.. i see that there should be a little delay..

but music player?? clock?? favorites??? really?

I think our expectation is just a little low on that.

Yeah, the clock/music player shouldn't take time. I agree with you.

So you're using baked snack + fps fix, eh?
You seem like you know what you're doing. Go ahead on the XDA forum and post the same thread. You'll spark more of an interest there.

I personally don't use those widgets... I don't even recommend htc widgets to other people.

Though being able to wait 1-2 seconds isn't bad...
