Any way to stop "System update available" download and notification?

Hi,

I never upgraded to 5.0 because of the rumored problem with Exchange corporate email. So every time I open the device, I get an "update downloaded" notification (which takes several seconds and seems to use battery power) and a "System update available" notification.

Is there anyway to stop the download and the notifications?

Thanks,

I read in an old post for os 4.2.2 update that it was buggy a while back and I wanted to delay the update and turn off the notification. Someone had mentioned to uncheck the show notifications in Google Services Framework. Go to Settings, Apps, slid over to All and look up Google Services Framework. Hope this helps, I would just ignore the notification, it went away on my Xperia Z Ultra and I got it back by itself.

Thanks for pointing this out, on the Google Services Framework if you uncheck "Show Notifications" the notification to install the pesky update for 4.2.2 disappears..

Thanks, unchecked Show Notifications, restarted phone, but the notification still appears.

When I got the 5.0 notification I ignored it for a couple weeks and eventually it just went away....but then not long after the notification for 5.01 showed up so right back where I started.

@HadaDumbPhone - Thanks so much, that was so easy, and a perfect fix. After 2 months finally a working solution.
