Any way to turn off the voice dialer headset activation?

When I long-press my earbuds headset, the voice dialer activates. I want to turn this off, I need that long-press for other things.

Any ideas?

My first thought is if you are rooted use a button assignment app to switch it but if your not rooted I don't think you have any options. I could be wrong.

I am rooted, so I will look into that!

Phillips has a headset that has an app you could assign buttons to, $40 retail if it helps. Not too sure about what you can assign the buttons to do tho
