Anybody else disappointed by the lack of quality case options?

Yes there is Seidio (although they have run into some problems with the Innocase II) but after that there really are no quality options as far as cases go IMO.. Best Buy sells a bunch of low quality cases, eBay has a bunch of cheap ones, etc..

It would be nice to have the type of selection the iPhone has.. other than that I love the phone.

Granted, I rock my phone naked 90% of the time.. but I would still like to be able to throw a decent looking/quality case on every now and then.

The platinum two piece case I got at Best Buy is great. I love it.

Its basically just a rebranded Seidio case.. from a no-name company. I've heard several good reviews about it but ultimately theres only 3 colors according to Best Buy's website, and it doesn't come from a reputable company.

The newer version of the Seidio Innocase II is a lot better. It has now a great fit and it is rubberized inside. Otterbox is good also, from what I hear, but they haven't released their cases yet. It says on their site, coming soon.

i'm upset that they have cases for the iphone 4 already but still not a lot of cases for the evo.

There are two different platinum cases from Best Buy. One is the Seidio and the other looks to be made by Body Glove. I have the second one but I'm going to return it. Now I'm using the Seidio Innocase Active LE from Amazon and it's working well.

Of course there are going to be a lot of options for the iPhone. They sell a lot of one design of phone so manufacturers can count on selling a lot of any accessory.

Does a case really need to be that fancy? My Amzer gel case fits fine, protects the phone and doesn't add much bulk , what more do you need?

I never said it needs to fancy. I'm just not a fan of vanilla and or plain cases.. I also like to have a lot of options.

Its not like we have the selection of companies like Incase, Sena(yet), Switcheasy, etc.. Much like customization, quality selection is a great thing.

I just don't see it being the best quality, let alone holding up in the long run.

I used a platinum case on my Blackberry before I found OtterBox Commuter Series case. They have solid products. Just cause you haven't heard of them, you don't like it, YET you read a bunch of good reviews? lol

And I use the HTC Black Silicone case I got from the Sprint Store. Its good enough and keeps the camera away from getting scratched.

Those cheap silicone cases WILL last forever, but they get annoying when its hot out, your hands are wet, or you want to slide in and out of your pocket. Im using one now for protection until Otterbox comes out.

Otterbox makes AMAZING products. I thought "wtf" beavers? when we started carrying them, Our vendor gave everyone in the company a free case of our choice and i nabbed a Tandem case and its the best case Ive ever owned.

Ill be waiting for the Otterbox Defender for HTC Evo.. The website says "coming soon" Ill know when they become available to distributors and ill make a note here on the site.

First of all, no need to bash for me simply stating my opinion.

Secondly, a lot of times when it comes to products like cases no-name companies do not generally make good products - thats a fact. Most of the the time they are cheap and not the best quality.

I did read a few good reviews about the platinum cases, but that doesn't mean they are good. Everybody has an opinion, let alone a different one.

Lastly, silicone cases are lint collectors - no thanks.

Some good news is Case-Mate is coming out with a line of cases for the Evo

No release date though, their website only says 'Coming Soon'

I was never bashing you. Just thought it was odd how you read good reviews and disregarded the case cause it was a "no name" brand even it had good reviews. Try the case, if you don't like it, return it.

I also would like to see something from Sena, or even Vaja. I had a Vaja on by BB curve and it was very nice. I'm waiting for Otterbox. My phone before switching to Sprint for the Evo was the BB 9700 and I had an otterbox for it which was great!

I have a Body Glove on mine. Its ok but I'm waiting for the Otterbox. I had a Otterbox Defender for my curve and loved it. Indestructable case. Cant wait for the Defender for the Evo.

Same here. Looking forward to the Otterbox offerings.

Agreed, but it is an inexpensive option until something better comes out.

Hmm...I'm extremely pleased with the Premium Evo case sold at Best Buy.
