I am not and have not been happy with Gingerbread. (hence, I'm now new to this forum, in looking for help with the problems I have).
Prior to GB release, I could get 10+hrs out of my stock battery and 2 days off my extended battery and the phone was on 24/7 (with nightly charging) and never problems with freezing, locking or losing data/wifi connections.
Since GB release, I'm down to less than 12hrs on my extended battery with no change in usage and I'm always going in to make sure background data is turned back off and make sure my battery tweaks are still in place.
Also, since the GB update, frequently when i'm trying to browse internet, check email or FB, I find that the phone has no data connection, requiring me to turn off wifi and mobile then turn back on before it reconnects to data.
Another issue is, frequently when I exit an app to go back to the home screen, I get the white "HTC" screen then the hourglass "refreshing" page for upwards of 30-60 seconds while it refreshes the home screen.
I don't have many apps loaded and nothing new installed other than GB. I just installed the new GB update today and so far it hasn't helped any of these issues.
I'd like to go back to the previous OS. It was stable and good for me.
