Fellow Netflix addicts - is there any way to zoom to fill screen in Netflix app like you can in YouTube?

In the bottom of the screen there are two arrows pointing diagonally (when you have controls showing on screen in the video), press on those arrows and it should go full screen.

It will probably vary from one show/movie to another depending on the ratio they shot it in. I did fire up the movie Body of Lies and in the bottom right corner there are two diagonal arrows pointing at each other and when I clicked on it it did zoom in slightly to make the movie full screen (there were small black bars on the top and bottom prior to doing that).

Thanks! I'm mostly interested in TV shows shot in normal HD ratio rather than movies. There would be a big black bar on both sides. Do you get the arrows on tv shows like Penny Dreadful or The Crown?

Thanks so much!

In Netflix viewing Penny Dreadful it fills the screen? What you describe only works in YouTube
I'm sorry, you are correct. That is for YouTube.
Penny Dreadful starts automatically in full screen for me.

Same for me, although I'm on a Note 8. I still can switch back and forth to black bars - no bars, using the two arrows bottom right.

Netflix played a big factor in my decision of getting the S9+. It's great to kill time when I drive my kids to their activities.

No bars on top nor sides?
Nope!
