I believe as of yesterday here on AC there was a sticky that said something about the Tbolt countdown - coming in X days which I assumed the X would be replaced with a real number when it became available ... I don't see it today.

Maybe someone here knows something we don't and they are just waiting until it's official? Hmmm?

LMAO! Sorry everyone, I was doing some housekeeping last night and accidentally hid it. I should know better than to mess things like that.

Why is the sticky even there? I don't see its purpose until a date is announced.

i'm wondering the same thing.

It's a placeholder.

What thedeceiver said. Historically there have been certain threads that have been really popular in the forums. The countdown thread is one of them. To keep things organized and us on top of our game, we put a few in place and unhide them when the time comes. In this case the countdown thread was unhidden from the beggining went it shouldn't have been. The intent for that thread is to open/unhide it the minute an announcement is made.

So if we subscribe to that thread, with email notification, we would get an email every time the thread is updated? That's cool, because I wouldnt have to spend half of my day checking the thread for updates...but I probably would anyway! :)

How do I subscribe to a closed thread?

I went to the top of the thread, and clicked "thread tools" and chose "subscribe to this thread"...it worked for me (at least i think it did...it shows up in my list of subscribed threads)

Thanks. I did not know there was an option for that. Thank you for pointing it out.
