anybody using live translate ?

Hi guys. Just curious on how many people actually use this functionality ? (I'm talking about the capability for the phone to read a video and to automatically show translated subtitles on the screen)

I'm living in China right now and I would love it if it could work with Mandarin, but for now it's only japanese, French, Spanish..

I tried to make it work with Spanish to English to try the result. And the live translate was really bad. I was wondering if any of you actually use it and find it useful in your everyday life ((like I'm hoping it could be if they use Chinese to the list of supporter language) or if it's really only a marketing gimmick ?

I use it all the time for Whatsapp chats with folks that speak Spanish. Ninety percent of the time it works perfectly and I have very fluid conversations. Every now and then it fails and needs a reboot to start again. I have used the translate in the camera for signs and menus and such at that has worked well also. I have not tried it for videos, though.

I wish I'd thought of this while I was on an hour long conference call with a customer in South America. I just sat there but having a clue what they were saying until a question for me would come up and our sales guy would translate...
