This is the first time I have had an unrooted device, I feel like I am working on a phone with handcuffs. I see that there is a root process on XDA but I am thinking I will let a few more people root before I give it a try.

Had to switch to ATT from Verizon so I could get an Galaxy Note Edge. Hopefully ATT coverage is almost as good as Verizon.

Like Verizon, AT&T devices have locked bootloaders and at this point it's not looking good for the att variant note devices when it comes to root and custom roms.

I have mine rooted (N915G) by the above method and it works fine. Although after you install SuperSU from recovery, it might be a good idea to let the phone load, then to go back to recovery and reinstall SuperSU

No root available on ATT, with the small user base of this phone, it could take a long time if ever for root access.
