Ugh, that UI looks god awful. This is the first time in a long time I'm NOT looking forward to an update. And that says a lot. I know it isn't finished yet, but sheesh.

Agree. Sad too. Maybe 9.1 which is more complete will be better plus what Samsung and Samsung Experience plus launcher make a difference.

Essential has 9.0 now which gave me a chance to adjust.

I don't like it, and I am not looking forward to it. Right now, to me, nothing looks better than Oreo 8.1 and Good Lock 2018.

Really like it, love how many of the buttons come down to the bottom, makes using the device one handed much easier. So I can use the fingerprint sensor to bring the notification center down, then swipe it again to being the control buttons down, all one handed.

Only thing I don't like is the white bubbles on a black background, I'd rather have a light grey background. Besides that everything else looks pretty good.

I hate that black night ode or dark mode w/e. Haven't seen much of the white but hope it doesn't look as bad.

I wish Samsung would just update their flagship phones instead of waiting till next year or when the drop the next iteration of a phone.

The wait has me thinking of getting the Pixel 3.

Back when the Nexus was a thing, this actually mattered. In 2018, it doesn't matter anymore. Samsung is on their own update schedule and the Android version is kind of secondary now.
