I own a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, and an iPod Touch. But HATE the iPhone. Android is the perfect customization when it comes to phones and feels like I can do more. I dont hate iOS but feels right for an MP3 player. Its simple and I understand that's why A LOT of people love the iPhone. I used to own an iPhone, the iPhone 3G was my first smart phone, and then came the Evo 4G last year and it changed everything on my out look of what a smartphone should be. Android is an amazing platform and it's gonna take a lot to pry me away from Google's love.

And I know there is always the which is better iPhone or An(Droid)? And the fan boys are loud. But I always wondered if there are people that hate Apple in general or just the iPhone itself more than Apple. I love Apple products, they work really well since its all hardware and software built together. I can't ever see myself going back to PC. I can go on and on bout the products. Just the iPhone feels limited in that aspect to me, Android's hardware and software might have bugs, but it feels more like my own device than something someone else has. My home screen is never the same as someone else's as with an iPhone looks basically the same.

Anyone else feel the same as I do or do I just drink the Kool-Aid from two different fountains? :-$

I own a Macbook (purchased), iPad (graduation gift), iPod Nano (hardly ever used), and my Samsung Captivate.

I honestly stumbled upon Android by luck. I had a Blackberry that crapped out on me, and there were no iPhone 4's to be found at the time. So I "settled" for the Captivate and never looked back.

Couldn't be happier with any of the above mentioned products, but when it comes time for a new tablet/computer I don't think I will stick with Apple.

I have my Macbook Pro, iTouch and Nano. I also have my Atrix. I like Apple products. They work great for me and look great. I also like the iPhone alot too. Especially with the integration of my apple products. Im not a fanboy of either and I'll take whichever is a better phone. Right now Atrix over iPhone 4. Ill have to see what the new iPhone is. I do miss the music player like crazy on the iPhone though. I live by my music wherever I go.

I have never owned any Apple products, but have some friends that are pretty devout Mac users.

I think they are good quality, but I don't like the "fanboys" and elitist mentality that they have created in the past 5-10 years.

As for the DIE STEVE DIE!!! option, I nearly did a spit-take on my laptop. :D

I own a Mac and used to own an iPhone. I honestly had no issues with the iPhone itself but I hated the cost of the contract on AT&T and was not going to go to 2G speeds by unlocking and running on T-Mobile. So I just switched a couple of months ago to a MyTouch 4G on T-Mobile.

I'm a pretty heavy Google user (personal and business emails, contacts, calendars, docs, etc), so the Android phone is great. I really only have one big complaint - it does not allow nearly as seamless syncing of data between my computer and my phone. I've got a lot of pictures, music, and podcasts on my Mac and just wish that would sync easier. Yes, I could go with some cloud music and photo service but I really don't want to spend the time transferring everything over.

Other than that, though, I love my new Android 4 and my Mac.

I've got a MacBook Pro 15", an iPod Touch, an iPad 2 3G, and an Apple TV, but it would take something huge for me to ever go back to an iPhone. (I also had a white macbook from 2008, and an iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4)

I like my Apple products for when I'm consuming content etc. But day to day and using as a phone I prefer Android. Until iOS gets a redesign and moves away to something more flexible than those maddening pages upon pages of icons, I'm more than happy to stay with Android.

You are all going to call me a fanboy for this but I truly believe this.

I have both an iPhone for work and an android for personal use. I also use a Mac at both home and work. The android phone is Good for the Google apps that I use but really gets under my skin when it comes to battery life. I find myself constantly having to kill apps and turn off the widgets. Disabling widgets is not a big deal since I don't really use them anyways but still.

Honestly I actually wish I could turn off multitasking. It's a phone, I don't need to have 50 apps open at once.

I love the larger screen size, look and feel, sound customization of the android. I just feel that it's still not refined enough yet. I sometimes get frustrated with some apps not being available but are on friends phones, people getting updates that I don't, etc...

I'll continue to use android for home because I see the potential of where it's going, but I use iPhone for work because the battery life, data syncing, MS exchange, and making calls just works and right now is more reliable.

I hate the iPhone but Apple makes great computers I use a macbook pro and love it. I also though have a windows 7 netbook.

Of course. I've always owned Macs when it comes to laptops due to the lightness, battery life and OS X.

Owned a first-gen iPod Touch many years ago but sold it before the App Store became available as I needed some money... Last year rolls around and I get a Nexus One and nearly get scammed by someone trying to sell me an iPhone  . End result: I'm enjoying my Japanese Android Keitai now which support nearly all the features of Japanese phones AND all the features of Android, vs all the other foreigners here who barely understand their Japanese phones or who settle on the limited iPhone (limited compared to traditional Japanese phones, not limited compared to traditional Western phones)... Kindof a best of both worlds.

I agree with the above comment about battery life. Japanese manufacturers are going HTC on the Japan market by putting pitiful batteries in (some of) the phones. Google and the OEMs need to focus on battery life a LOT, otherwise things will just get worse as we use our phones more and more in our daily lives.

--> Nexus One - 1400mAh battery (or 1300?), acceptable battery life
--> Nexus S - 1500mAh, acceptable battery life
--> Sharp SH-03C aka Lynx 3D, 1400mAh, had a pretty good battery life after the Froyo update
--> Sharp SH-13C (my current phone) 1230mAh battery  , always have to charge it before the day is over. I wouldn't even go below 1230mAh after owning this phone..

Other phones are even worse here, like the "Aquos phone the Hybrid" (yes that's how they call it lol) which has a sub-1000mAh battery cuz there was no room to include anything bigger along with a 16MP camera and everything else the Japanese expect in a flip phone... Just appalling.

The M1 phone from the company who now owns MIUI looks cool though with that 1900mAh battery.. hopefully the rest of the phone is quality too lol.

All that to say yes, I own Macs and have had for 10 years, and I love Android too. Always surprises people who know I love my Macbook(s), when they see my Android phones. Of course they wrongly assume anyone with a Mac is a fanboy and will only get whatever Apple sells, but those people are only a small minority.

I did get my dad an iPhone though, just because I knew it would be a very controlled experience and supported by Apple rather than abandoned quickly by the carrier/OEM, and that everything that is on it, though limited compared to Android, would actually work and not get in his way.

There's a place for all these platforms in the market, being a fanboy of one or another and wishing for the other to disappear/die is just silly, unless you own a LOT of stocks in the company, or actually invented said product, otherwise why care so much about the outcome? Use what works, use what you like, but getting emotionally involved in the company's success to the point of becoming a troll is just... well I guess it's what the Internet is nowadays :p :p hahahaha

I'm very fond of my MacBook Pro. I am just now grudgingly switching from a Pre to Android. So far, Android is okay, but I agree with the "unrefined" comment someone made. Sure, the hardware is way better than on my Pre, but using it is just less graceful, especially the clunky multitasking in Android. (an area where the Pre shines)

Off to transfer contacts from my Pre to my Andoid. . . wish me luck. ;)

I have an iMac, Mac Mini, iPad 2, iPod Classic, and iPod Nano. I have had an iPhone 3G and 4, but now have an Infuse and love it. In order get get my iPhone how I wanted it to be I had to Jailbreak and highly customize just about everything so my Infuse is actually just as if not more stable that it was. Main reason I switched though was for the bigger screen. 3.5" being the only choice just isn't big enough!

I have a macbook pro (17") ipad, and ipod touch, love all of them. Getting a droid 3 in about 2 weeks and couldn't be happier about it. I love apple stuff, esp being a video editor, but for my phone i want something I can customize more and just have more options in general with.

I share the same feelings, Astro. Also, my wife loves Apple products -- she's not the tech type of person and feels comfortable with Apple products.
