Anyone else can't get wireless charging to work?

I hadn't tried to use wireless charging until I got the promotional new wireless charger from Samsung. When I did try, the charger didn't recognize the phone.
I did the basics, took off the case(Samsung Alacantra) - no dice.
I checked the charger with an S8+ and L V30 - works fine with those phones.
I tried the Note 8 on another older model Samsung charger - no dice - doesn't even see it.

I reboot- no dice.

I ended up calling Samsung and they want it back to repair, they didn't even attempt to troubleshoot after I explained what I did. Seems like I got a defective one.

I was happy to see Samsung pick up the support call immediately. I was pretty pleased with the support experience.

My note will not charge using a Samsung wireless charger though the charger is a year old it works fine. just not on my note8

My Samsung flat wireless charger works great on my note8, note 5 and s6 edge plus. I got it when I had the 2 note7. Haven't tried the Samsung convertible wireless charger yet. Still waiting for mine to come.

In my experience it has to be on a certain spot on the phone when you lay it on the charger..

Yes. Both work with my Verizon N8.

Had Ben working fine on both my S8 and S8+. Now it has stopped on the +. Won't recognize with case. Without, it recognizes but won't charge. Bringing g back to best buy tomorrow.

My Verizon Note 8 has a Spigen Tough Armor case and it works great with my 2 old Samsung Fast Wireless chargers and the newer Samsung Convertible Wireless charger. No problems at all.

Seems working on day one. As an aside, for the upright position, if you put the phone slightly to the side (with the side of phone aligned with side of pad), you can use charger as just a stand without automatically charging it.
