Anyone else experience high pitched tones?

[Android Central Question]

Yesterday, while sitting dormant my LG G5 started beeping a sound similar to a smoke detector. The phone is running Nougat and all apps we up to date. I was able to silence it by lowering the volume on the media/other section of the the sound control. I need a permanent solution. Any ideas?

Were there any notifications that went along with the sound?

Welcome to the forums! Has the sound stopped, or is it still going? As another user asked, any new updates or apps installed recently; especially from third parties?

Yes! I had yesterday around 2:45pm PST, and then again around 10:42pm PST. Never experienced it before. Loud as hell. Actually hurt my ears. And it was not coming out of the speakers (I have a Nexus 6P), but out from where you the charging port is. Very strange.

Check to see if you have Easy Backup and Restore installed. That could be your problem. Mine did the same thing and uninstalling that app is what fixed it.
