I used to get 8 hours+ screen time, but since after MJ7 update the Battery life on My Note 3 has dropped drastically! To about HALF that time!

Even with my brightness at the lowest setting I was lucky to get 4.5 hours of on screen time. 8 is just crazy! Good luck and if you figure out how to get that much again let me know!

Screen time isn't the only thing that takes battery...you only show the screen on time and nothing else...

maybe try turning off background sync, and turning off all data connections during standby.

After the mj5 update I had to purchase another spare battery. I know not everyone can afford to do that. Before the update I didn't have to change any settings or do what I'm doing now (force stop apps) and I could still get awesome battery life.
I turned off a lot of apps and went into application manager to force stop many of the apps I wasn't using. Right now, I average about 7 hours of screen time, browsing, texting, some Facebook. If I use the Facebook app a lot I get about 5.5 hours give or take.
Fyi: Facebook app will drain your battery very fast. Try using it through your browser if possible.

i too experienced this drastic change, dunno what happened i didnt have an update, but i think it started when my phone updated itself autmoatically but i stopped it quickly, so the update was cancelled; it didnt even reach 1% but my battery life was affected.

My phone was horrible on the MJ7 update. But there's a newer firmware out MJE and it has a lot of improvements. Check it out

For me on MJ7 the cell standby eats up battery quickly.

I wonder if the MJE will fix the battery issue? Has anyone gotten it yet?
