I have read it was being released today but haven't seen it yet. I had one on Sprint but sold it because I wasn't using it on network. I mostly used it at home and if I need to be mobile I will use my EVO with wireless tether. The only thing that makes me hesitate is it will run Froyo as opposed to Honeycomb. I doubt it will be upgraded to Honeycomb either. But I will only use it for browsing the internet and I loved my other one. Just waiting...waiting...waiting.....

If you just use it at home, I.e., portability is not an issue, maybe wait for asus eee pad, 10", honeycomb, 1280x800, and priced well.

I'm thinking about waiting for the new galaxy 2 tab on june 8th, they're saying it's going to be priced at $499 and that seems perfect plus honeycomb and everything else. definitely going with wifi too...

Take a look at the Blackberry Playbook as it is another 7" tablet. The wifi only version is being released on the 19th. While I like the size of the Galaxy Tab, the Playbook will have it beat when it comes down to specs.

I'll probably hold out for the Wi-Fi HTC Flyer. Prefer HTC's build quality and the promise of having Honeycomb eventually.

It's between this and the Asus Transformer for me. Leaning toward Asus.

could not agree more, 7" form factor is the key for me. What am curious about is how does one tether android to android?

your android phone exists as a duality :)
it's a modem/router...all one android has to
do is broadcast it's 3g and the other ,finds
and uses it...that simple

Was really excited that this was supposed to have 32gb onboard but now that has changed, only 16gb...boo, on to the next!

I ordered one!! Wanted something middle of the road and think this will work perfect for me.

I have mine ordered and paid for. It will be delivered Monday. 16GB is fine for built in right now. My phone has that as well. I will just upgrade with a 32GB SD card and have just as much storage as my phone.

Since i dont plan on doing as much with my Tab as i do my PC, i dont need several TB worth of storage. I just need something that i can use when i want to. This will be it.

I am using a Verizon Galaxy Tab as wifi only, wish I would have held out for this one, because I don't think I will be pushed updates now, since it isn't active on Vzw

I already have a Tab but I'm also thinking of picking up the Transformer. The Transformer won't fit in my pocket like the tab will though, but it will replace my laptop for when I need to so some serious typing. :)

If you can live without 3G, the WiFi only version makes a lot of sense. Given VZW's absolutely horrible track record of delaying updates and abandoning hardware almost immediately after introduction, I wouldn't buy the VZW (3G) version unless you put a gun to my head. :(
