I got my THIRD Pixel XL 2 today, my screen issues seem to be never ending.
Phone 1 has an extremely uneven display (pink/yellow) and a stuck pixel
Phone 2 had an extremely uneven display, and a green bar at the bottom when displaying white
Phone 3 is about 50% the brightness of phone 1 and phone 2, but otherwise the display is as good as I think it gets from these LG units.
Can anyone else comment who has seen more than one of these, have you seen variations in screen brightness (comparing max to max)? Phone 3 is a November 10 build date, and I wonder if they reduced max brightness from the factory on newer units to further mitigate claims of image retention (incorrectly referred to as burn-in usually).
If I put both phones side by side at max brightness, Phone 3 is about 50% dimmer than Phone 1 and Phone 2, with all colors (I just use an app to cycle through solid colors). I think I am going to keep it just because I'm so tired of the RMA process, but I will have to use it on 75%-100% brightness pretty much all the time. Anyone else noticed this or am I just unlucky 3 times in a row? I am thinking it might be by design on newly manufactured ones though.
