Anyone else having inconsistent Gmail sync?

I noticed a couple days ago that I went several hours with no Gmail sync (I realized when I logged into Gmail on a computer that I had several new emails that my phone hadn't pulled in). Signal was fine, 3G lamp lit up, and I could get data through other apps, just not Gmail. It synced after a few hours.

Now today my DINC finally synced a few minutes ago...it had gone almost 20 hours without succesfully syncing my emails.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, I have. Not the same as you, but I will check my mail on my phone, and then delete a few. When I open the app again, it will say I have emails in the inbox, but none are highlighted as new. When I check on my computer, the emails I had previously deleted are still showing as unread on the computer, but they do not appear on the phone.

I've had the exact same problem. At first I thought it was just the ROM I was using but I've had it happen on several ROM's. Usually a reboot does not fix the problem, it just has to work itself out. The only way I've found to get fix it immediately is to delete Gmail, then re-install. Its a total pain.

I'd rather just let it fix itself once I see that it's happening again.

I think I did. I'm not 100%. I'll give that a try the next time it happens and report back.
