The app starts, but then it's loading and loading but no music ever starts to play. I am running a stock Evo and version 1.5.4 of Pandora.

Anyone else have this issue?

Pandora on EVO

I am seeing the same issue. Pandora was working fine for a couple of months, then one day it stopped, now just shows "loading". Also stock evo 4g and pandora 1.5.4.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared cache per pandora, and no help.

Probably wont ever work until you fix the proxy server error in the phone. Call customer service. They will either walk you through fixing it or send your phone an update to fix it.

I have not experienced streaming issues. So i'm guessing mine was fixed? Or I never had the issue.

I don't have an Evo (yet) but my wife has a android (running 2.2) and I couldn't get Pandora, Slacker, YouTube, or any music/video apps to work. I turned wifi on (even though I wasn't actually using the wifi) and everything started working. Doesn't make sense since she is still pulling the data over the cell but it's working non-the-less. Hope this helps.

Pandora on my stock Evo plays then the screen go into sleep mode and then after 2 songs it stops playing. When I turn my phone back on it say ot trying to get a signal but the phone hasen't moved and I have all 7 signal bars. I did the changes to the proxy server but still the same issues.

For you guys who shut off that mobile data option , try setting that back and see.
I havent had issues with my Pandora in ages. I didnt do all those BS tweaks most people do though either to save on battery and kill everything else.

I have the same version as you with no problems right now.

have you tired deleting and reinstalling your pandora?

I've seen issues with Pandora so tried Slacker recently. Skipping found on both, and sorry XDA but not planning on command prompt coding anytime soon to get a radio app to work. So no one else has found a menu setting or zip to flash that would do the same function???? I think a lot of us are getting fed up with streaming issues on what's supposed to be such a powerful device. I'm assuming this change (in streaming handler) came about with the crap-ware OTA Sprint pushed along with Swype a couple months ago.

Use market app to get your MSL. Flash back to a sense rom. ##DATA# > advanced > change last 2 settings (8085 to 0; pd.vog.sprintpcs.com to 0.0.0.0), flash back.

Annoying but not a huge task and shouldn't take more than a half hour or so.

i'm having problems with pandora and youtube as well. tndank, thanks for the advice, but i didn't understand what you meant about "MSL" or flash back to a sense rom or ##DATA##. could you clarify? thanks! p.s. my evo is stock, not rooted.

pandora problems

I was having lots of problems with Pandora on my EVO, but never on the PC. It would not play or cut off in the middle of songs and act like it was trying to load. Tried reloading the app will no luck. Very frustrating..... so I decided to remove my task killer. Since then I've had no problems. Not sure if this will help but wanted to share this with you.
