Anyone else notice this camera change?

Hi all. I've noticed recently a camera change and I was wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing? It's when operating the zoom and night mode.

Before when operating the zoom or night mode, you press the shutter and then a second or two later, you would see the post processing applied. It's a noticeable difference between the immediate picture and then the post processed image.

But now, you press the shutter button and the immediate unprocessed image remains. You don't see the post processing. When you click off the immediate image and click back on the same image in either the camera or gallery app, only then you see the final post processed image. As I say, this is when operating in zoom or night mode.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I hadn't actually noticed it, but you are correct.

I just tested & then went to the gallery to view the processed results. It's too bad as now you have to take that extra step to view & then decide if your are happy with the results or need to take another picture. If you need to reshot, then you have to compose the shot all over again. (Unless I'm missing something.)

OK, so I'm not the only one. I agree, it's a real nuisance as you don't see the final post processed image almost straight away like you did before. And have to click off and click on the image again in either the camera or gallery app.

Just a nuisance and inconvenient. I hope Samsung corrects this in a future update.

I agree, I hope Samsung does change it back.

One thing I also noticed is the post processing algorithm on zoom shots has also changed. I'm not sure if it's changed for the better, I'm inclined to think the previous algorithm was superior. The zoom shots were a little crisper before.

I've noticed that my photos look a little worse in general since last week's update.

Yes I agree. Just a very small loss of detail since the last update I've noticed on zoom images. And as I said before, the post processing doesn't update on your previewed image anymore.
