Anyone else suddenly stop getting gmail notifications?

Yesterday morning I was getting gmail notifications, but somewhere around midmorning to early afternoon, they just stopped. I haven't changed any of the settings, so not sure why they would stop.

I moved this from the General News forum to the Ask A Question forum.

Which phone do you have? Are you saying that you don't get anything audible/vibratory, or are you not even seeing notifications in your status bar?
