I've been a smartphone user since the Treo (actually started here with Treocentral), but have been using iPhone's only since 2007. The Note series has always fascinated me, but didn't go big screen until the iPhone 6s Plus. However, the Blue Coral Galaxy Note 7 just seemed to have my name written all over it (pun intended). With my addiction to Microsoft OneNote and electronic note taking, this looks to be the best solution going, and I assume Outlook and our exchange server should make this a fairly smooth transfer..

So are others considering the switch?

Those of you who already jumped from iPhone to a Note - how was your experience?

I had an iPhone 6+ for about 2 weeks. I just couldn't do it. So boring. Went back to the Note series and haven't looked back.

Had the iPhone 6 Plus, then upgrade to the Note 5 since I wanted to try something new, loved it, but I downgraded back to the iPhone 6S Plus because I wanted the apple watch. Now I'm waiting for my jump to get renew so I can upgrade back to Note 7. I regret letting go of the note 5 because I totally missed it after i downgraded to the 6sPlus. Now, the watch is just collecting dust... So I'm exciting to upgrade back to android... Note 7.

My experience on transiting from iPhone 6 Plus to the Note 5 was pretty smooth, I was concern about not being able to group text with imessage (which then I used FB messenger and my friends are on there which is great), Email Client... I used icloud for work and have a personal email with Hotmail, which the email client on Touchwiz was fine; I had concerns about not being able to video chat via facetiming, but again I rarely use facetime & FB messenger has that capability anyways. I totally miss the multitasking since I commute on Bart for work and its great to have two window open (one watching youtube & another chating or reading blogs/forums). One of the things that I had a hard time was when I am using my iPhone, I'm able to sync to my mac laptops, my ipad, etc., but with Android it seems like I just need to dl Pushbullet or Sidesync to be able to do some of the similiar things like the iOS does. So transiting back to Note 7 should be the same experience or even better. It takes probably a couple days using android but you'll most likely enjoy it and not miss using iOS.

Ironically, the same day I pre-ordered the N7, I ordered a 6s for my grandson. He outgrew his 1st Gen Moto G and this was his choice. (I think it's secretly about a girl and he wants to FaceTime.) He's a good guy so I can forgive him this transgression. 😊

Seems to be a trend... I'm considering the same. Will wait for iPhone 7 announcement to be sure.

I was going to do the same but now I'm hearing that the only major change is going to be lack of home button, newer camera, and no headphone jack.

If all those things are true that is not an upgrade for me.

I am making the move. I was going to wait for the iPhone 7 announcement. However after hearing they removed the headphone jack and the biggest surprise is going to be removal of the physical home button, there's no way that's enough for me to upgrade to the 7+.

I ordered the Coral Blue and got the 256GB SD card as well.

I'm making the move as well. I like the 6+ but I'm bored with it and nothing I'm seeing about the 7 is exciting me. I was going to wait but started watching the hands on videos on the 2nd and decided to preorder the Coral Blue. I was having a few second thoughts, until I played around with one at Best Buy last weekend. I knew as soon as I saw it in person that I had made the right choice.

I don't think I've ever been as excited at getting a new phone as I am with the Note 7. Which is silly to me but I want it, badly, lol.

Forgot to mentioned that after watching iOS 10 conference, there was rarely any WOW factor about it and that's why it time to move on and go back to Samsung.😁

More than likely making the switch. I'm just a bit hesitant, that's why I'm waiting on the 7 announcement but will more than likely make the jump and upgrade myself to a shiny blue coral Note 7.

I'm going from a 6s Plus to Note 7. I flip flop a little bit, but primarily been an iPhone user since the 3G. In fact, the 7 will be the first iPhone I haven't gotten on launch day.

I too am switching. I've been a day 1 iPhone user since 2007 and am finally making the switch to the Note 7! I've been really disappointed with the iPhone ever since Tim Cook came on board. The iPhone 7 rumors are also incredibly disappointing.

I'm a iPhone or Nexus guy. I tried the s3 years ago and the experience was so bad I stopped buying Samsung stuff all together. The note 5 was tempting almost got it. Finally pulled the trigger on the 7. Im not all that happy about the price but, ild rather pay this much for a Samsung that puts stuff into thier phones. Rather than apple that charges close to the same and put nothing into the phones.

I’ve been using a iPhone 6S+ since mid-March 2016 having stupidly switching from a Note 5. In the past 5+ months my experience with the iPhone has been less than stellar. There are certain pros to the iPhone… the battery life has been remarkable and the ability to easily sync the iPhone with my macbook pro and the backup/restore capabilities are great but other than that I’ve not been impressed. The Note 5 I had prior to my trip into the world of IOS worked flawlessly. I actually had to make myself remember to power cycle the phone occasionally and only did so because it is recommended to do this periodically. However, I find myself having to reboot my IOS device more and more frequently as it seems to become more and more unstable. With that being said, I’m definitely looking forward to my Note 7 arriving, (hopefully before the 19th) and I’m ready to come back to Android.
