Anyone ever use SquareTrade warranty service?

I bought my Note 8 at Target last December and went with the Square Trade warrant with accident covarge, dropped my note from about 12 inches on to the sidewalk, totally destroyed my screen and digitizer. Square Trade was pretty quick sending me a FedEx shipping label in less than an hour, just don't know how good they are with repairs, do they repair them in house, or just send you a refurbished phone? First time ever having to use them, actually first time I ever broke a phone this bad in 10 years. Had my Note in a Tech 21 heavy duty case, and dropped it less than a foot. This phone can not take a drop or any kind it appears. My daughter's S8 same thing dropped it, in a case, standing over our dinning room table and it looked as bad as mine. Time to rethink this curved screen fad :(

I recently sent my wife's Pixel XL to SquareTrade for a cracked screen (only a minor crack, not a shatter). Very fast turnaround time -- sent it on a Tuesday, got it back on Thursday. The phone looked pristine, and it clearly wasn't a refurb, since all of her data and accounts were still present. It was definitely worth the money, since my wife's phones tend to get abused.:p

I believe they use their own onsite staff, but don't know for sure. I would also guess that their decision to supply a refurb is up to their judgment -- if a phone is too far gone, they may decide to just replace it. If it's a simple screen replacement, it's almost certainly going to be a repair.

sqauretrade has the best customer service they're ran by all state and people rarely have issues with them

Thanks for the responses, sent it out FedEx on Tuesday afternoon, it's already back and out for delivery today. Won't be there to sign for it so I'll pick it up tomorrow after work. I have no idea if they repaired my phone or sent a replacement. I'll check the IMEI when I get it back. No information on my email to indicate what they did.

I cracked my screen on my note 8 a couple weeks ago and filed the claim with square trade at midnight and had approval to take to a local repair shop to get fixed at 7am that morning. Called the repair shop and they had the parts on hand and ready. Took 2 hrs to replace the screen.

Oh, that sounds better, at least you know you have your own phone back. I probably should have went that route. Was it just the glass? My screen was totally messed up top 1/3 of the screen was OK the rest was unreadable, flashing, blacking out.

Yeah, it was just the glass. I have it in a OtterBox case and jumped out of a golf cart at work and phone fell out of the plastic holder on my pocket.
