I am thinking of going with a GS7 instead of the iPhone 7 and I have an iPad Pro 9.7 inch model that I love and don't want to ditch. Can anyone speak to living in both platforms with these devices or at least an iPad and any recent Samsung device? I just want to know of it works or if they clash too much. I know they don't play well together. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I have each after leaving iPhone for a S7. I have had no issues. There is the app sharing. But most apps can share data between the platforms. At least the ones I use.

Literally this is my setup I have a iPad 9.7 pro and the S7 initially I came from the the 6plus to a note 7 but with the issues I had with it I decided the 7 was the better choice. I went through the apps I had and found apps that worked on both platforms which create a bit of harmony

I use an ipad and a S7 edge. I don't use imessage. All me convo's are on WhatsApp. The ipad is used for browsing and reading and editing photos. I keep everything in sync between them with Google photos and one drive.

We have an entire Apple household with Android phones, no problems since we're in with Google apps. We don't have iMessage or whatever it is, we just text using the stock Samsung messaging platform with our phones.

I have both. I quite enjoy it its not overly difficult to get used to the separate interface. My chrome sharing can be a little wonky. But considering I run Windows. oS n Android I haven't had much problem getting all 3 to run in harmony.

Biggest downside for me is pages. I use it for just about everything. Mostly cause I have my iPad i use for writing and note taking. But that's another thing ibe learned to work around.

With iTunes music or the beautiful app on your Mac/PC to send any new music directly to google play. I have no issues running my S7 and my ipad. No real reason to change from the iPad. Some apps don't go back n forth (mostly a couple games.) But can't Argue

Edit** on terms with iMessage I don't really use it except to send some pictures to my mother. Even then I just grab em from my google drive and send them to her.

How do you handle Pages app? Can you view it on Android?

I have an iPad mini 4 and a GS7. I don't have any issues with them playing together on the apps that I use across devices, with the exception of games of course. Most game progress on the Galaxy won't be carried across devices, although there are even exceptions to that depending on the app and if they use their own cloud or use the Google Games/Apple Game Center.

I have a GS7 and iPad Air 2. I use Google Voice for texting with coworkers and Hangouts to talk to my family, so as to avoid using SMS, since my iPad can't receive them. Outside of that, I also use many of the same services between platforms, so I have no problem at all going between the two. I also have an Android tablet and I'm typing this on a Chromebook and still, no problems.

Lots of Android folks have iPads and have never had the iPhone. I think it works fine.
