Anyone have this issue with the stock mail app?

I have a few e-mail accounts, mostly GMails, but also my main account, which is an "att.net" e-mail (which is powered by Yahoo!). The stock mail app won't accept my credentials when I try to put in my ATT email and password into either the Yahoo or POP3 account options.

So, I've had to download the Yahoo mail app, which works great, but I kinda want one universal app for my e-mail accounts, rather than having to switch between two apps. Is there a fix for this?

If not, are there any good e-mail apps that work well with Yahoo/ ATT.net e-mail accounts?

my mail app works fine -i have it set to manually refresh, but it works with my yahoo, gmail, and work (exchange).

i have problems with the stock news widget instead (it will stop refreshing after a while)...

I cant remember the exact settings,I had to use this fix. Do a search in this Fourm, Yahoo Mail and there is a post the gives the exact settings, now my Yahoo works just fine. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

My mail app stopped receiving gmails altogether yesterday. I was able to get a few when I changed the view to view all mail instead of just the inbox. What I did was remove the accountant readd it under the other option of the ActiveSync account and it started working again. Go figure.

Set it up as a pop3

Incoming (POP) pop.att.yahoo.com
Outgoing (SMTP) smtp.att.yahoo.com
(requires authentication)
Incoming mail server: POP3
Incoming/Outgoing User Name: Full AT&T email address, including domain (e.g., test@att.net, test@bellsouth.net)
Incoming mail port #: 995, secure connection (SSL) checked
Outgoing mail port # 465, secure connection (SSL) checked

Thanks, that seemed to work.

New question, though. On my ATT.net account (as well as one of my GMail accounts), I have a number of old "read" e-mails still in my inbox, that I still kinda need every now and then. I can't figure out how to get these to show up in the stock mail app at all, though. It only seems to display the e-mails I've gotten since adding my accounts to the app. Is there any way to get all of those old e-mails to load up? I suppose it's not THAT big of a deal in the long run, since I can still access them via my computer, but it'd be nice to have them in the app, too.

i know you could pull all your mail in. In the gmail app I don't believe u can in the stock app unless you forward all the old messages to your self

Try marking them as unread using the web interface.
