Anyone having issues with new navigation bar in texts? Or in Facebook?

When my phone is not in landscape mode, I am unable to select any options from the new navigation bar at the top of text messages nor can I select the navigation bar at the top in facebook. If I rotate the screen they both work just fine. If I use the S Pen they work fine in both standard and landscape mode. Any thoughts? I can select right below and right above with no issues.

Which 'new' navigation bar are you referring to in Messages? I tried on Facebook and have no issues on either mode or with and without SPen to use the navigation bar and Notification bar.

In the individual text messages there is a new bar at the top that says Messages, Photos & Videos, eGift, Contacts, Links, Audio. I am unable to select it in standard viewing mode unless I use the S Pen.

Not seeing that bar, either. Which version do you have? Could you post a screenshot?

I've added pics for both the text message Nav Bar and FB Nav Bar. They both land in the same spot on my phone so I'm pretty sure that area is a dead zone on my touch screen.

OK, I see the one from FB but your Messaging app is different than my stock messaging app (I'm guessing because of carrier changes). Anyway, I definitely don't have issues with that area both on landscape or on portrait.

Now, to test out if it's a dead screen issue, open an action memo (or an S-Note, but enable writing without the SPen). Trace a line through that area. Does it work? If you drag your finger across the screen and only that area won't draw, then yeah, you have a dead area there.

Covered under the warranty - the store should replace the phone with a new one without any problem. (Back up anything important, just in case - Backing up an Android Device.)
