Anyone here have Texture app on there Samsung Galaxy Tab S3?

I have notice app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The app is called Texture.

I don't know what this app is or if it is preloaded app Samsung put on it or if the app download by it self well I was on the internet.

I did Kaspersky scan and it did not find any thing. So it does not look like malware or at least Kaspersky did not show it in the scan.

So I don't know if it is Bloatware app or malware app.

Anyone here that have Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 have the Texture app. Also when I hold down the app there is no option to remove or uninstall the app. All it shows is Disable app and App info.

When I go into app settings there also no option to uninstall the app all it show is Disable or Force stop.

I do not know if this is Bloatware app or malware app that just download well I was on the internet.

Sounds like bloatware. It is a magazine app.

Disabling it is the best thing if you don't use it.

I've had the Texture app for a few years back to when it was Next Issue on tablets and phones I previously owned. It's an app that provides access to over 150 USA and Canadian magazines. After the free trial it's $16 per month. I love it but I'm an avid magazine reader. I agree with the previous post that if you're not going to use it to disable it.

So it appears to be a Bloatware app than a malware app? And is preloaded app Samsung put on it.

If it is not malware app than no anti-virus scan will show the app doing scan. No uninstall app or remover tool would be able to do any thing other than rooting the device that would destroy warranty and could damage the device.

It just strange when I open the app it takes me to web site saying that.

I disabled it immediately, but I seem to recall a 3 month sub being offered when I first set the tablet up.

I went to number of stores selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and they all seem to have the Texture app preloaded. Only difference is Icon on my is little different. The only different is mine has text by the X saying special offer.

The play store has the Texture app also. Texture App at the play store seem to be legit Digital Magazines app.

And well like I say the only difference is there is text in by the X saying special offer.

I will see if I can post screenshot of the app.

Some preloaded apps are just shortcuts. i activated Texture and use it when I travel. It is a legit app and service. No need to panic. Disable if you do not like, but I have never seen lt being a memory or battery or processor hog.

I'm also wondering because it is Canadian web site if that has some thing to do with it? A Canadian Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 being bit different than American Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. A Canadian version of Bloatware app may be why it taking me to Canadian web site.

May be the Canadian version have the icon a bit different than the American version where it has text by the X saying special offer. And may be why it taking me to Canadian web site when I open the app.

If I enter the code it will no longer take me to that web site? And the icon will look normal just the X no text by the X saying special offer?

That why I wanted to make sure it is Bloatware app not malware app that got on it.
