Anyone in ny area having call quality issues?

I live on the border of Bronx NY and NYC. I a am having static and pops during calls. When I roam, my calls are crystal clear. Went to sprint, they said NY phone is OK, sounds like a network issue, possibly updating towers around NY area. So, I was just wondering if anyone else on sprint, in my area has same issue?
