Anyone know a Twitter app that shortens tweets?

I remember this being one of my favorite features from UberTwitter for Blackberry.

I have the paid version of Twidroid, and it doesn't do this, which suckkks.

Anyone know any Android app that does?

How does it shorten tweets? You mean shortening the URL? Twidroid Pro already does that.

I mean shortening the entire tweet.

Like sometimes, one will type a tweet that's like 20 characters too long, and other twitter apps will shorten them (1 will type a twt that's like 20 characters 2 long & other twitter apps will shorten them)

No-- it changes words (I tried to do it with the parenthesis in my last post, but I guess I didnt make it clear lol)

If your sentence is "I'm going to the movie and then coming over to your place later", it'll change it to "Im going 2 the movie then coming over to ur place l8r". It's like SMS lingo.

How does it shorten them? Does it just cut off the last 20 characters?

It abbreviates words for you (ex: one = 1, before = b4, ect).

I haven't found anything in the Android Market that does that yet. Still gotta go through the options on some of the twitter apps.

I miss that about Ubertwitter as well. I really think that may have been the perfect Twitter App for the BB.
