Don't really care for vibration much on anything except when volume is turned down.

Settings > Sound & notification > uncheck vibrate on touch

Don't have the 10 with me at the moment but I thought I tried that and it didn't do anything for fingerprint unlocking. Worked for everything else. Will try again. Thanks

My bad, turns it off for the home button but not fingerprint reader

I hate the harsh vibration motors on some phones, such as on this phone, the Nexus 6p, Nexus 5x, etc. I prefer the soft vibration motors, such as on the Moto X Pure and the OnePlus X. So yeah, I turned off all vibration on the 10 but couldn't figure out how to do it on the fingerprint scanner. Probably something you can't do unless you root it perhaps.

I couldnt figure out why the phone was vibrating in my pocket for no reason, turns out the heat from my leg through the pocket was triggering the fingerprint scanner. FYI, if you fail over 5 times you need to trace this line on the screen to get it to unlock. I guess without the vibrate it could have gone on all night.
