Anyone, like me, with a recently new Note 9 still wondering whether to buy a Note 10+?

I’m really stuck in 2 minds re buying the Note 10+

I want one because I like to have the latest devices and ever since the original Note, they’ve been about my favourite phone.

I’ve had the XS Max, it was ok, but typical Apple. Had the Pixel 3XL, great phone, but the screen was a letdown IMO. Had the S10+, again, great phone, but not a Note...

Sold the S10+ and bought a Note 9 2 months ago and all is well with the world again haha

But the N10+ REALLY appeals to me, but it’s still another £600 to shell out (if I remade in the N9 for the £400 I’m offered on Samsung UK).

Or... Do I wait to see what Google announces re the Pixel 4XL and go from there.

Anyone else still in this boat?

Like yourself had the same dilemma. Do I keep the Note 9 or upgrade. Eventually went for it. Not looked back and love my Note 10 plus.

The 10 plus a look and feel like no other I am coming from the pixel 3 and said I would never get a big cell phone again. Well after playing with it at Best Buy when I got home I ordered one and never looked back. This phone is a power house with a truly awesome display that is super quick you won't be disappointed.

Sounds to me like if you wait for the pixel 4 you're just getting right back on the Merry-go-round... You might like it for a bit but remember it's not a note, then get the 10+ right before the 11 comes out

Been there, done that. Just bought the Note 10+ on Friday evening.

Currently I have the Note 9 and Note 10+ powered on, and walking through the full Note 10+ setup.

In short, do what makes you happy. Is the Note 10+ ‘needed’ if you just purchased the Note 9, not really (my opinion). I have only had my Note 9 around 2-3 months.

There is also an iPhone XS Max in a drawer, somewhere. Do I need them all? No. But, I am a gadget guy, and I tend to want to ‘test’ things for myself... :)

Yup; gadget guy here myself too.

Sat here typing this on a new to me 2018 i3 Mac Mini and 2K monitor; I've only had my 2018 MacBook Pro a month and finding myself working from the Mini more than anything, so the MBP may get sold on and I can spend that on my new car haha ;)

The Note 9, for me, is just 2 months old and it's a bloody good phone. I had one when they first came out, but still had my Pixel 3XL too and at that time, the Note 9 was great, but not needed (had an old Note 5 920C in my drawer as a 'spare' too), so the N9 got sold on, as you do...

I'm really glad I got back into the Note 9 as it's a cracking phone and had no qualms re selling the 3XL on either, I don't miss it.

The thing for me is the screen on the Notes; it's the right size (I've hands like shovels) and it's brilliance is something the Pixel couldn't come close to.

I don't weigh my phones on camera shots; I weigh them on their screen/overall looks and capabilities and the Note 9 ticks a massive amount of boxes... As does the N10+

So therein is my dilemma

Yeah, agree... That is a concern. But if the 4XL comes out at the 6.3/6.4" screen size that is rumoured; that could do it for me... Time will tell

I purchased my note 9 4 months ago, and recently upgraded to the note 10+. What made the decision easy for me was the $600 credit they gave for it, that was more than what I originally paid for the note 9 😁.
BTW, I do like the slimmer/lighter feel of the Note 10+ compared to the 9, and they did that with still keeping the height and width the same 👍🏼

My Note 9 was just under a year old.

Sold that to my son and went skipping Lol ;) into my local Samsung Experience Store in the UK and bought the Note10+ 5G and have zero regrets. :)

I came from pixel 3xl. The only reason I would go back to pixel 4 xl is for the camera. That is IT. Note 10+ is better in every other way. So if camera is not your absolute number one priority, stop fooling around and get the Note 10+ then

Same boat here, only had my Note 9 8gb/512gb for 2 weeks when pre-order opened, at least the Note 9 makes it not as hard to wait until I can get my hands on the 10+ 5G 512gb version

How favorite is the Note series to you, because you had mentioned it is but sold your N9 early in and then rebought the N9 just two months ago? I say that because you’re already thinking the Pixel 4 is going to sway you away and you haven’t finished thinking about the N10+. LOL if you’re really more a gadget guy that wants to have the latest stuff, then by all means you should do what makes you happy but don’t think about it too long since you’ll opt for another device soon after. I came from my Note 9 and so far I don’t regret anything. I consider myself a gadget freak too but that meaning I upgrade my Note every year. I no longer touch the S series (in fact trading in my S8+) and the only other phone I have is the XS Max for the curiosity of iOS. Just go for it and have fun!

Since no more $600 trade in no more interest. If deals come back on 1tb 5g I'm interested

I still see the $600 trade in offer for the Note 9, it expires on September 14th. The stipulation is that you have to finance it though.
I don't see a 1TB version

At least for the unlocked model on samsung.com you still get the $600 trade in offer like how it for pre order and there is no condition for financing needed. You can pay full as shown below. Just tried, added to cart and pay in full $499.99 plus tax after $600 trade in value applied.

Thanks so much for checking for me but I have reas too many horror stories about Samsung trade ins being rejected. Perhaps if BestBuy ever does it again for unlocked model...but then the 5g model has to be Verizon I think.

I would only do a trade in in person to be sure it is accepted without reservation.

So having more than one cell phone is called, gadget guy. LOL

I call it addiction. I'm back with three. SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 10+ Aura Glow, OnePlus 7 Pro Almond and because it was free, the SAMSUNG Galaxy A70. My S10+ doesn't count as I'm just waiting for it to be sold.

If you can hold off, stick with the Note 9. If you are.really itching. Try something different. I highly recommend OnePlus 7 Pro.

If you have a Microsoft store near by you can get the trade in value of $650 for the unlocked model at their store. It was still valid couple of days back when I checked with my local Microsoft store but since I had pre order gifts from Samsung it was a better deal for me. But if you have latest gen phone like Note 9 you will get $650 for trade in at Microsoft store for the unlocked model. I would hurry up if you are interested since the Microsoft store rep said that offer may stop any day.

Going by their website the offer is still valid but I would hurry up.

My Note was only 6 mos old or so. I upgraded to the Note 10+ and i do NOT regret it at all. Its a big upgrade. The battery is great, powershare is super convenient, even the charger in the box is super fast, i cant imagine how good the 45 w one will be. Screen recording built in, awesome cameras, and a lot more. Watch Flossy Carters "real review" of the 10+, he recommends upgrading and breaks down why its worth it :)
