I'm thinking of dropping at&t for t-mobile. How is real life coverage for 4g LTE in long island and nyc??

have you though of switching to the AT&T GoPhone plan? $60/month for Unlimited Talk/Text with 2GB Data. BYOD.

That's prepay and only 3g plus you need to pay full for phone.

it is prepaid but it's 4G LTE. you can pick up a Nexus 5 from the Play Store for ~$300 and not have to deal with a contract. just something to consider.

When I asked online they said it was 3g data only. I'll look into it more plus I want to keep the g2 whether I switch to t-mobile or not.

I wonder if t-mobile will let me test drive for a week. So many people love t-mobile on the forums but I know nobody in person who uses them.

I live in the NYC and T mobile is covered well.. 95% of the time I am on LTE if not I fall back to 4G which is also extremely fast. I left Sprint at the end of Aug. I haven't looked back since.

Same here. I'm on T-Mobile in NYC. I live in the Bronx, but I'm mostly in Manhattan. I just left Sprint, and T-Mobile's services is miles better and faster. Almost everywhere has LTE coverage. It's worth it. I have no knowledge of the coverage in Long Island, but I've heard it's good in most areas.
