Anyone one willing to share a code.

Probably a long shot, but I originally purchased a Essential on August 16th as a early adopter, But the problem is my phone was stolen and I can only provide IMEI, Email, order number and order date, NOT Serial number and essential told me they won't give me a code, because I don't have the SN.

I'd be willing to work something out if someone isn't going to use theirs.

Have you looked on your box to see if the sn is there?

I submitted for two codes. If I happen to get both then I'll pass one along. Expect it to take the full 15 days though as I'm sure Essential plans to check each and every submission for accuracy and return status.

The other unknown is if codes can be shared. We don't know if the codes only work for the original submitter or if they can be handed over to someone else. Update: Per their Twitter account, codes can be shared.

Try emailing essential from the same email/account you ordered from and see if they can give you the sn?

I've spoken over the phone and through email and they said without SN, they won't provide code.

It pretty ridiculous actually, because I have order #, order date, IMEI, Email and what not, But it's still not good enough.

I ended up with a few codes but a local friend wants one and I'm saving the other as an insurance policy either for damage or if Stellar Grey gets released before the 15 Dec deadline. If I don't end up using it by the cutoff then I'll pass it along.

I'm sure more codes will be available. Quite a few requests have been made over on XDA. It wouldn't surprise me to see them eventually pop up on ebay for sale.

I was waiting for the white then after all the delays and issues I decided to wait a bit longer.

With a code, it's a no brainier buy but without one, I'll have to decide if I want to buy.

$499 is still a bargain and worth it IMO. The camera isn't that bad now. Unfortunately there will be more people wanting phones than there are codes to go around.

I'm not all that worried about it. If someone wants to share a code with me then cool and I'd appreciate it but if not, then no big deal as there are better phones out there for a little more.

For me it's not about the $$$ it's more about what I am willing to pay for it..
