I do.

You can't charge it because it doesn't have a battery in it. You also can't charge the Note 4 while using it.

So the Gear VR doesn't have a battery to charge. The Note 4's USB port plugs into the Gear VR so the touchpad, back button and volume up and down can be operated from the right side of the Gear VR. To run Google Cardboard apps just flip the USB plug out of the way and pair a BT controller or mouse or keyboard and you are set, that doubles your VR apps. Depending on the game, the Note 4 battery could die after an hour or two so the alternative I have come up with is using the ZeroLemon 10,000mAh battery taped to the Note 4. I haven't had to use it yet but can if I need.

I really like the Gear VR for a bunch of reasons the least of which is the total immersion. It is awesome.

Here is a good review of Dreadhalls

Are you saying that the phone battery will literally drop from 100% to near 0% for some gear vr games?

How is the battery usage/duration in general with watching vr videos or playing other vr games?

And, in general vr usage, does the phone get very hot? If it drops battery power that quickly it seems like it would.

Running some apps for the Gear VR or the Google Cardboard it is not unusual to have very high battery usage. Yes the note 4 gets warm but not an issue.

Some games will not run for 2 hours before killing the Note 4 battery. A person would have to be full on hard core to look into the Gear VR for 2 full hours. Would be very trippy.
