Stinky?
I just contacted sprint about this and was denied because I have a spending limit. The bad this is I purchased this phone at full retail price so i owe them nothing on this phone
Hopefully, I'll be unlocked soon:

UPDATE: Got my Sprint email today that I'm unlocked. Now to find a SIM card to activate . . .
This is if you have a sprint connection. I don't have it. Then would they be unlocking it? How? I really want it.

Unlocked for international only most likely. I tried and tried to be fully unlocked even for domestic and Sprint said they won't do it.. Only for international sim cards. So I switched carriers since they wanted to control my fully bought phone.

I never found a way. I called Sprint and got it unlocked for international but for domestic it wouldn't work.. And they flat out told me they wouldn't unlock for domestic (T-mobile / AT&T).

You have a sprint account?
I was never with Sprint and they told me I'll have to be on Sprint. Also they have condition of being with them for 90 days and no credit limit.

I did. I left them last Thursday.. I wanted my HTC One I had with them unlocked for domestic SIM cards... I bought it full price and they still said no... So that plus the fact that 3g was getting worse in some areas I left to T-Mobile.
Just saw this thread and wanted to share my experience. Sprint will unlock for international... Just have to call and ask... But they flat out said they will never unlock for domestic SIM cards (for use with AT&T / T-Mobile).

If you bought it full price or reached the end of your contract, they are obligated by law to completely unlock the device.
Refusing to unlock it for full use is called a partial unlock and breaks that law. I hope sprint knows what they are doing, or they may see some lawsuits in the foreseeable future.
