Anyone think there'll be holiday discounts on these?

I don't think the Pixel will be discounted anytime soon.. Google rarely discounts anything with the Pixel name..

From what I have read about last years holiday sales, black Friday is the day to catch smartphone deals. Not cyber Monday. There are some predictions out there, but nothing to back them up. So pending how the Pixel launch goes, would have to assume Google would want to be relevant in that mix of holiday sales on Black Friday.

They start shipping at the end of Oct, with many people getting theirs at the end of Nov. I wouldn't expect any discounts. That would be a super **** move.

They often have small discounts on the Google Play Store around Christmas time, but not usually that substantial.

My guess is Google might drop the price by $50 on each of them for Black Friday sale only. Looks like they are selling really well.

I don't think you will see any discounts. Maybe free play store credit or a chrome cast, but don't expect the price to drop. Google seems to be trying to position this like an iphone and you can expect few (if any) price drops.

I doubt the phone will go on sale, however there will most likely be a black Friday event for the new Chromecast and Google home.

Nope, since they start selling around October, it would be too fast for them to do that, it will do harm more than good to their business.
