anyone trade-in a galaxy s6 for an S7 and get the $300?

[AC Question]

There is an offer that states "up to a $300" trade in for the Galaxy S6 for an S7. It was part of a press release telling about the yearly upgrade of S7 from Verizon. Has anyone tried this and received more than $200? I'm skeptical since the online estimated trade-in suggests my device (which looks new), is only $176.

I've brought it to a store (and called) to have it appraised and they weren't able to since it is still on a payment plan. The only way to do it is to pay it off in full, activate a new device, and then get an offer, which is too risky for me knowing how companies love to lowball people.

That deal ended about two weeks ago.
When I went to get my s7 about 2 weeks ago I asked for the 300 dollar s6 trade in but Verizon said it expired the day before.
When I say 2 weeks I mean roughly 2 weeks give or take a couple days. I've been so busy lately I can't even remember how long I've had my new s7 lol. I guess I could go dig up my receipt but Im to lazy and Im having way more fun hanging out here at android central reading everyone's feedback .

They said they would only give me like 180 or 190 for my s6 so I just kept it. It's worth more than that to me.

Yeah that was a trade in promotion that expired some time ago
