All,

Curious to see who is interested in Pixel C, particularly owners of the Nexus 9.

I might have to take a look at this, but I really like the size of my current Nexus 7 (2013)

I've had so many problems with the Nexus line, I think I'm going to pass for now. Does look cool though...

To me, this is basically the new Nexus 10. I bought my Nexus 10 on launch day and it's still a great tablet. But I've been looking for a replacement since the battery is just about gone now. I really don't need a keyboard for a 10 inch tablet but it's nice to be able to have the option. I paid 599 for my 32 Gigabyte Nexus 10. I can get a 32 gigabyte pixel C for 499.

IMO, the nexus tablets where the only, where i was really satisfied (softwarewise for sure) thw nexus 9 i have now is perfect for reading books, and its size is kind of ideal.
But this pixel looks really good. Will see when it comes...

I'm torn too, but I'm leaning towards a definite maybe, the pixel C has the tegra chip, so it'll at least show us if htc was the problem or Android on tegra.

It's too big for me but if a smaller variant comes out I'm going to gobble it up to replace my N7

I will be replacing a Nexus tablet with the pixel c, but not a nexus 9. I will be replacing my Nexus 10 with it. I bought my Nexus 10 on launch day and it's still a fantastic tablet, but it won't be getting marshmallow. Since I preordered a nexus 5 X, I need a new tablet to go with all the marshmallow yumminess :-)

Interesting the new announcement about Android and Chrome merging. I wonder if that is what the Pixel C is meant for, kinda makes sense now.

I have Nexus 9 that I do love, It's just any keyboard for it is pretty horrific from the reviews I've seen ( please tell me different if you have one) I like writing a lot, especially random stuff like journal entries or stories so having a keyboard that is actually made for the device and is not detached like a 3rd party keyboard would be great. It's just that price tag is pretty high. 2 things I would do with it is just read and prob write. Is it worth it? Who knows? I think we should def start off with a release date though first.

I have the HTC keyboard and while it's OK, the pairing and attachment sucks and I wouldn't buy it again for sure (the keyboard folio that is).

It looks like if you want a keyboard, wait for pixel C.

I will be. Would like to wait a short while and find one for $400, then sell the 9 for maybe $200, so it's a $200 upgrade or less.

It's also not great for lengthy typing. For short stints it works well, but for anything longer it's just too small for me. The Pixel C keyboard looks to be much more spacious and comfortable for typing.

Agreed and not very intuitive with some of the key placements and also it causes some scuff on the back of the actual tablet itself.

I have a Nexus 9 and tbh I'd like to trade it in for a pixel c. The battery on my tablet is just horrible. It has nice sized screen but I wouldn't mind going a little larger.

I just got a new Nexus 9 the other day as a replacement for my aging Galaxy Note 10.1, but I really don't like it so I am returning it and thinking of getting the Pixel C. Probably my chief complaint with the N9 was that the battery life was not particularly good. I fiddled with the usual suspects (screen brightness, bluetooth, etc.) and the most that I could squeeze out of it was a little over seven hours, and that was with the screen being uncomfortably dim, and not playing any games or doing much web surfing. Also, I thought that the screen size was not small enough to be significantly more portable than my GN10.1, so there wasn't a valid trade-off for the loss of screen real estate. Plus the screen ratio meant that movies were even smaller because of the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

Right, I don't think I will be trading in my tablet as I don't see a real upgrade opportunity. I have an awesome screen and front facing speakers, why do i need to have a tablet made by google. Yes the nexus 9 is google but I don't need one that they have made from scratch. Nothing that tablet can do my Nexus can't do.

I have the Nexus 9 and just got the Pixel C yesterday. Pixel C is better in every way. Faster, much better screen, much better build etc. I'll have to test it out to see how much better the batter is but first impressions are positive. Doesn't seem to drain as fast during usage as the Nexus 9 does.

I've been thinking about trading in my nexus 10 for this, the only thing is, where would I be able to do that?

You can sell the N10 on eBay but Google doesn't do exchanges even for their RMAs so you're not going to find an "official" channel to do this.
