Anyone using a Gear S3 Fontiier with their Pixel 2?

When I make calls on my Pixel 2 I am not hearing the dial tone right away and the person on the other end doesn't hear me. I selected the Speaker icon to make sure that Phone and not Bluetooth is selected. I am now running Oreo 8.1 but I noticed this with 8.0.

Pixel 2 with S3 here you will need to go into bluetooth settings on the phone for the watch and disabled phone at this time you cannot make and receive phone calls from the watch very very disappointing you can deny a call from a watch but you can't accept all other notifications work

I have been experiencing this issue since the Pixel 2 was released. I too turned off the phone call feature in the bluetooth settings. That's probably what I miss the most about my Note 8, how well the gear s3 worked with it.

SP only works on Samsung phones don't plan on collecting your points although you can still use it, I had to cash my points in for merchandise instead of gift cards
It will only work with limitations through the gear app

This is not correct. I have the pixel XL 2. I use my gear S3 Frontier on a daily basis paired with my pixel. I use the Samsung pay regularly on my S3 Frontier. No issues there and I have done a full reset on the S3 Frontier to be paired with the pixel.

I do wish there was a more seamless way to text message. when I had the S8 plus it paired perfectly messaging with the watch.

This is correct your using SP Thur the Gear app only , try downloading SP it self or collecting a rewards card

Resurrecting an old thread, Anyone on Pixel 2 and Android P have Samsung Pay up and running. Since I was on Beta and now on official P my Samsung pay on the watch is not working.

Got it working had to do a APK from xda. It updated and worked fine after... So far all the money are still in my accounts ..lol
