Anyone using smart lock?

Question for you guys that are. When I unlock my phone via Moto Display there's almost always about a half a second delay where I only see my wallpaper before all my icons appear. If I unlock by pushing the power button and swiping up on the screen my icons appear instantly. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but annoying nonetheless. I'm just wondering if you guys notice this behavior also or if it's unique to my device?

Yes, sometimes. On VZW 5.0. Nova Launcher.

The default action (power button > swipe up) is for the icons to slide up into place. Seems like the icons slide up delays slightly using the Moto Display swipe down to open.

Thanks for the reply and confirmation it's not just mine. I have the exact same setup as you...Verizon, 5.0, using Nova. I tried it with the default Google Now Launcher and it does the same thing. Must be a Moto Display thing.

I'm on VZW running 5.0 and Nova and notice the same issue. I installed Nova right away and never used the stock launcher so I can't comment on any differences, but I did notice the slight delay when unlocking immediately. I went to Nova Settings > Advanced > Select "Aggressive Desktop", and that seems to have made a difference for the better. I still get the delay occasionally, but it is not as often or as noticeable.

I do notice that when using Moto Display to unlock, the Pin pad kind of snaps into place, the animation is slightly jerky. Whereas if I press the power button and drag the unlock icon, the pin pad appears smoothly.

Thanks for the tip. I went and enabled Aggressive Desktop in Nova settings and it seems to have made a significant difference. Now, if they'd do something about the fact that locking the phone with an app doesn't allow you to unlock using Smart Lock, it would be perfect. You always have to enter a pin. Can't have it all, I guess. Here's a thread about the issue on the AOSP Issue Tracker. Apparently the only workaround is achieved via root and that's difficult to achieve with VZW.

Mine does the same thing periodically. I have the Pure Edition.
