anyone using the "places" tab in the phone app? if so how do you like it, is it useful? I havent turned it on just because it seems like just another app that wants to follow you every where telling everyone what your doing and where your going

It doesn't seem like a lot of people have looked at this thread. I don't have a modern Samsung, and I didn't know they had this kind of set up.

I used it on my GS9+, but At&t decided to remove it from the GS10+.

I didn't use it often, as Google search worked better, but I did use every now & then.

My AT&T S9+, Note9 and now my S10 don't even have that tab. Maybe it was removed during Pie but I never used it in Oreo if it was available. Like others I just iftar Google maps.

I am wondering if I have it cause I got the unlocked version...so this is probably more bloatware that cant be removed

I have it on my T-Mobile version. looks interesting. Should be good for finding restaurants.

Anyway to turn this off or remove this tab? Funny, it wasn't on the phone on Verizon. I switched this week to xfinity mobile and it is now showing.

Wonder why I don't have this places tab
Do you have an AT&T variant? I do and I don't have it. I'm pretty sure AT&T removed it from their phones. I never really used it too much but I didn't notice it was gone. I used it here and there.

I just looked and i have it on my unlocked S10 plus and I have Verizon. Not sure if I should set it up or not.

Don't bother, it's really limited and uses four square. Google maps is infinitely better
