Anyone using the U 11 on Verizon

Just wondering how well or how bad this phone is on Verizon.

What's it missing?

Mine worked well on VZN for about two months, then receiving MMS messages began to fail. I've been through a myriad of trouble shooting processes, both with VZN and HTC, both with no success. Have also exchanged the phone for a brand new U11, and the problem persisted. There's a thread at the XDA forums discussing these issues. Some people have them, others don't.

I have no problems using the u11 on Verizon. Signal strength is good for calls, I get my texts promptly, and LTE works fine. The only minor inconvenience is the need to retrieve voice messages by dialing in (no visual VM).

Ben, did you activate it with a new SIM, or was it a SIM from a prior device?

Also, no problems with group MMS, or attachments to MMS?

Thanks

It was the SIM from my old moto x.
I'm not currently having any MMS issues of any sort but I did have a problem receiving texts when I first got the phone. I had to call Verizon tech support and they did something on my account. After a bunch of test texts and a couple of reboots they got me working.

I have two U11s running on the Verizon network. Both devices were brought onto the network with SIMs from HTC 10s. We have not had a single problem with either device. Both devices came up on the network with all services running from the start.

I just activated a replacement U11, and had the local store provision a new SIM for me in an Android phone they had in the hop. I'd say it's a lot better than before (activating a new SIM in the U11) but I've still missed a few text's after I installed Textra.

I want this phone so bad I can feel it. I've done some research and I'm dismayed by so many folks having issues and lack of support by Verizon. I don't like all of their apps but I like some, I'd also miss visual voicemail. I'm on the fence but leaning towards no. Anyone know why Verizon doesn't carry it?

The next software update for the US unlocked is supposed to address some issues that Verizon customers are having. I have no idea what will be fixed though.

I ended up returning my U11. Loved the phone, but I won't accept sub-standard performance. Since the Pixel 2 is made by HTC, will have sufficient waterproof / dustproof capabilities, hopefully has as good as a camera as the U11, and has dual facing speakers, I feel that will be an acceptable choice for me. I'd prefer to have removable storage, but I can live without it.

Thank you. I read about that. I live in Chattanooga and my 4G is sometimes sketchy. I hope that can be addressed. I considered going back to Sprint but, I'm not that desperate yet hehe.
