... do you also have handcent ? Get rid of it, watch your battery come to life.

Not here. This is by far the best battery life phone I have had.

I am going on day 2 with 50% charge right now with moderate use including phone calls, games, reading the Kindle on the phone and email checks, etc. No longer plugging in nightly, which is super nice!

Mine is great now. I was unenthused at first, but I looked at the stats and handcent listed as 40% of batt use on a day I only had and sent one text. I deleted and switched text programs - made a huge improvement in batt that is now incredible.

I read about past handcent wakelock errors in the way it notifys...... I definitely was having some issue with it that is now fixed.

I can get loss of about 1% per hour with very light use on a 3-bar 4g connection at work, but i have absolutely horrible service by my house(1 bar of 3g if i'm lucky) so if i'm not on wifi at home my battery can drop like it's its job

I came from a brick (thunderbolt) with an extended battery. S3 battery is pretty disappointing and I am looking in to a 2nd battery and backup charger. I went to the gym this morning at 7, streamed sirius while at the gym, and was under 70% by 9a. Yesterday, I was out all day with minimal usage and battery was toast by about 4p.

If you don't use CPU intensive apps or games then go to Power Saving and check CPU Power Saving.

HUGE improvement in battery life for me. I was down to about 20%+ after 8 hours at work with mostly using tweetcaster, AC forum app, texting, and light Internet use. I had to charge the phone around noon to get me through the rest of the day.

Today, I'm at 50%. Screen on time of 2hr 35mins.

And there is NO lag, slowing down, or any other visible issue from turning the power Saving on.
