The problem is that I'm underground a lot, so I put the phone in airplane mode. But I like to listen to my music player with a bluetooth headset. This was no problem with my Palm pre, but with my Desire z it seems that you have to have cell on to get the bluetooth as well. As you can guess with the phone searching for a non existing it eats the battery. I'm getting the feeling that it comes from HTC set up like this and I've yet to find a work around.

Can any one help or suggest a work around?

Cheers,

It seems you can't. Or at least i couldnt figure it out. I wish it could be like a blacberry in which you simply turn off the radio.
