aosp roms

I've been using OMFGB for the last month. Its been great and has helped increase the Thunderbilt's battery life.

There is not much difference between different AOSP ROMs. The biggest difference between CM7 and Liquid Thunderbread... at least IMHO is that CM7 includes ADW launcher and Liquid includes LauncherPro... they have to have some launcher... other than that it's minor little programs they include... they will both have something that allows you to tweak thinks. I really like Liquid's option under settings "Liquid Settings" allowing people to change things like the removing the clock from the top notification, and the battery to a number, or colors of the battery number... they both have the ability to overclock (if you know what you are doing).

You just have to find out which one you like if you want to go with a AOSP ROM. The great thing is we can easily try one.

You can change all those things in CM7 as well with the exception of the color of the battery percentage #.

just a stupid question these are based on froyo radio right? i upgraded to BAMF 3.0 and had to flash a new radio MR2
do change to any of these roms does a downgrade in radio need to be done?

CM7 and Liquid Thunderbread are Gingerbread ROMs... they Gingerbread Radios... The new MR2 (1.39.00.0629r) Radio will work on both of these ROMs and Das BAMF 3.0... all Gingerbread ROMs.

Out of all these aosp roms which one would you say is the fastest

They all seem about the same. Honestly the differences are mostly aesthetic in nature, with various little differences here and there. If you are comfortable with flashing a ROM, just try them out, and see which one works best for you.

Anybody overclocking these roms. Imrunning at 1280 stable all day long and temp is good

I overclock liquid to 1.4GHz (using leankernel extreme mode and an InteractiveX governer) and it runs completely stable. I also am on wifi most of the day so I'm not terribly worried about battery drain.

I've pushed it up to 1.6GHz with SetCPU, but the battery drain was considerably more, so I stepped back down, as I didn't see a huge gain in performance. I've actually gotten it to be stable all the way upto 1.92GHz, but sometimes I do get reboots and freezes there.
