I've been running Nova Prime for quite a while and really enjoy it. After continuing hearing about Apex, I decided to give it a try. I'm having a lot of screen refreshes that I didn't have before. I'm on Axiom PZ M1 and Franco R133.

I was experiencing the same on an earlier PZ build, but it seemed to work fine on CM9. In all, I thought the experience just wasn't as smooth as Nova, but that's just my own personal usage.

I also tried apex with pz and likewise found it less smooth than nova. Different phones might react differently i guess.

I use Apex exclusively and haven't had any problems with it, although I do remember running across something a little while back with one of the updates, but I don't recall what it was. They might be having some bug issues because they've released four updates in the past couple of weeks.

Was it the 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 update? I heard that (or maybe .4 to .5) was giving folks headaches.

That's odd.. I find apex to be smoother, though the difference is almost negligible to be honest.. IMO.

One thing I love about apex that I'm not sure if nova supports... Under both home screen and drawer settings set the minimum scroll time to 20 and watch how much quicker your draw and screen scrolling is.

Upon a quick scan I did not see it, but I also used that sick two finger gesture to get to the settings tray ;).

When I don't have to wait for a screen redraw, I think it is smoother. I did change the minimum scroll time to 20 like 2def suggested.

Really? Look again... Minimum scrolling time... There's one under Homescreen settings and one under drawer settings.. I say set both to 20.
